Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement HSEQ policies and procedures in compliance with rules and regulations.
  2. Plan and implement training programs for HSEQ practices, fire prevention, and correct handling of hazardous materials.
  3. Inspect and evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure they follow safety standards and government regulations.
  4. Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  5. Investigate accidents, incidents, injuries, and complaints concerning potential hazards or unsafe conditions in the workplace.
  6. Prepare reports on HSEQ activities, incidents, and accidents for management review.
  7. Promote safety awareness and foster a safety culture among employees.
  8. Ensure the company’s preparedness to respond to emergencies.
  9. Liaise with regulatory bodies and local authorities as required.
  10. Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge, and preparedness across the organization.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a HSEQ Executive or similar role in the marine industry.
  2. In-depth knowledge of health and safety laws and industry regulatory codes.
  3. Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
  4. Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.
  5. Relevant certification in occupational health and safety, such as a Professional Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health.
