Job description:
· Commissioning, Maintenance, Repair & Troubleshooting of marine electrical & mechanical equipment onboard vessels and in company premisses/workshop ( i.e. Burners, Boilers, Scrubbers, EGE, EBG, GCU and supporting systems).
· Ability and willingness to travel on short notice onboard vessels in region, but occasionally also globally.
· Employees must have ready valid travel documentation, passports, visas, seaman book and vaccinations as required to travel.
· This is full time position, and we welcome experienced candidates of all ages.
· Ensure that the work is executed according to the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment guidelines and customer site procedures and report unsafe practices and incidents.
· Write Service Certificates (time sheets) on site and get them signed by customer.
· Write Service Reports with full details of job done, warn customer on possible safety issues, spare parts required/suggested and giving suggestions & recommendation of future services.
· Proactive recommendation of required/suggested spare parts to Customers.
· Communicate sales opportunities to Service Managers.
· Provide onsite and remote technical support to clients.
Required skills:
· Preferred experience with Boiler & Burners systems, Scrubbers, but it is not mandatory.
· Troubleshooting skills in electrical, electronic & mechanical systems.
· Basic programming skills of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers).
· Basic parametrisation knowledge of industrial & marine controllers.
· Experience in automation, control and instrumentation devices, pumps, electrical motors, frequency converters, actuators, positioners, …
· Proficient skills in MS Office.
· Fluent written and spoken English.
· Cross cultural awareness.
· Structural and systematic approach when executing tasks.
· Attitude to provide high quality of work results.
· Good communication skills.
· Team player mindset with attitude to share knowledge and experience with Your colleagues.
· Customer oriented approach with effectively prioritizing and executing tasks with clear customer communication with no prestige attitude.
