Responsibilities
- Perform process reviews, technical feasibility studies, process trend analysis and provide technical leadership for continuous plant operation
- Technical ownership for the assigned plant area including monitoring of performance, reliability, efficiency
- Advice Operations Team on operating parameters for the optimized operating mode for the plant considering the plant constraints, sustainability of operation and demand
- Taking leadership in troubleshooting of plant issues related to equipment and process; Work closely with the maintenance and operation team to improve the plant availability
- Provide the required technical support as technical lead in the plant reliability and productivity improvement projects
- Prepare justifications for investments with cost benefit and savings calculations for improvement projects
- Play active role as technical lead in plant shutdown, startup and commissioning activities as needed
- Provide support for the plant turnaround planning by identifying and justifying the scope. Also, carry out work packages supervision, quality assurance during Plant Turnaround as needed
- Review and improve critical operating procedures with guidance from technical experts
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university ideally in Chemical Engineering or related
- discipline with minimum 10 years of process engineering, plant operation support experience in Industrial Gas
- plants and/or in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical/ Refinery /Pharma and related plants
- Prior experience in a complex process plant, preferably in technical services and/or operation support role will be advantageous
- Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing the operation of process plants and/or good conceptual knowledge gained as part of EPC projects
- Knowledge of Industrial standards and applicable codes for process plants
- Strong team person with good problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of influencing people at all levels of the organization
- Process modelling skills desirable; Financial and commercial awareness desirable
