Portfolio Assessment/Derivatives Trading/Business Integrity
- Evaluate the several risk and value components of the LNG Trading portfolio of trades (Spot and Term)
- Manage the aggregate LNG portfolio risk position and execute hedging transactions on the derivatives market as per guidelines and trading instructions issued by the Head of LNG Trading.
- Develop LNG Derivatives Trading Activity in Asia and US/Europe with regional external counterparties
- Monitor the events affecting the life of the portfolio (changes related to ADP or 90-day SDS, cargo allocations, SPA amendments, spot sales, purchases, etc.) and anticipate their impact in terms of risk and value.
- Model the physical flexibility of the portfolio and extract value through dynamic hedging.
- Aggregate market and portfolio information from external sources and fellow LNG traders and recommend the set of trading assumptions and its changes to the Head of LNG Trading and Risk Management group (Mid/Back office), in particular “marks” to value LNG cargo shorts and longs.
- In cooperation with the LNG Structuring group in Korea, propose and evaluate physical trade opportunities.
- Particular focus on exotic opportunities involving complex pricing and optionality.
Liaise with an HQ directly
- Prepares monthly reports to the HQ about the trading status.
- Prepares Profit/Loss reports with the HQ accounting team.
- Analyze the effect of related transactions with HQ.
- Co-work with an HQ on a transfer price scheme in the relevant market.
- Prepares reports regarding trading strategy as per requests.
■ Job Requirements
- University educated to master’s level in the relevant topic.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in trading systems and portfolio valuation techniques
- Good understanding of the LNG industry, US Oil & Gas dynamics, and the European market.
- Experience in financial or physical transactions within international natural gas markets is a plus.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in the relevant markets.
- Bilingual (Korean, English) preferred
