Position Summary
Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking for an Assistant Managing Director to play a pivotal role in supporting the Managing Director in strategic decision-making and overseeing daily operational activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Managing Director to ensure that business processes are conducted efficiently and effectively, in alignment with the organization's mid and long-term goals. This position requires a strategic outlook, strong execution ability, and the capacity to foster growth within the organization.
Key Purpose of the role
The Assistant Managing Director will support the Managing Direction with the execution of the company's strategic plan, ensuring the efficient management of day-to-day operations. This role involves translating the company's vision into operational strategies, fostering clear communication across departments, making informed decisions to drive business growth, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Additionally, the Assistant Managing Director will play a vital role in leadership, working closely with the respective teams towards achieving the company’s objectives, fostering a positive work environment, and representing the company in various stakeholder interactions.
Responsibilities
- Support the Managing Director in daily operational activities, including financial planning, budget reviews, and analysis of financial reports.
- Initiate the development and review of strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s mid and long-term goals that support the continuous improvement of the overall operations.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication across departments by liaising with department heads and team leaders.
- Address immediate operational challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Attend key meetings and, when required, stand in for the Managing Director as needed, ensuring follow-up actions are taken.
- Oversee ongoing projects to ensure they progress as planned.
- Conduct monthly evaluations of different departments and projects, identifying areas for improvement.
- Review and suggest improvements to company policies and procedures.
- Engage with customers, clients, and partners, representing the company and building relationships if required.
Requirements
- 15-20 years of experience in corporate strategy, business management, advisory, portfolio management, or related fields
- Experience in performance and operations management
- Strong business acumen
- Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable about relational databases and software (e.g., ERP)
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- BSc/BA in business administration or related field
