Role Purpose:
With minimal guidance, to prepare the fundamental engineering deliverables of Process engineeringfor the assigned project as per the specified technical requirements, timelines and budget. To identify recurring basic engineering issues and resolve them.
Key Accountabilities:
- Understand technical requirementsUnderstands the basic and essential specifications and requirements of the assigned project and Industry Standard, Classification Society and Regulatory requirements.
- Engineering document preparationPrepares and marks up the PFD, P&ID, and process datasheets in accordance with design specification.
- Process calculation Performs preliminary PSV set pressure calculations, Line sizing calculations, settle out calculations in accordance with alarm set points and design limitations.
- Verification of Vendor informationPerforms verification of vendors’ information and perform necessary calculations (e.g. Scrubber level settings, strainer pressure drops) to determine if design requirements are met.
- Review of other disciplines' document / vendor documentPerforms verification of General Arrangement drawings and mark up to highlight any discrepancies in design specifications (e.g. Vessels & exchangers nozzle allocation)
- Resolution of technical issuesAssist senior engineer to develop solutions to technical/engineering and related problems by analyzing the issues/data, interpreting the analysis and proposing various options/measures using experience, precedents and professional references.
- Evaluation of vendor proposalUnder supervision of senior/lead engineer evaluates the Process requirement for other packages and contributes to technical bid evaluation process, and ensures selected vendors meet technical/engineering and delivery requirements.
- Compliance with HSSEQ policiesTo ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behaviour.
Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in process engineering in oil & gas sector for degree holders or minimum 1 years of relevant working experience for Master degree holder.
- Proficency in English and Jap preferred to communicate with internal stakeholders.
