Senior/Catering Manager

Responsibilities:


1. Be a spokesperson in terms of professionalism through proper grooming, conduct and ability to present the hotel or serviced residence product and services effectively.

2. Day-to-day sales activities include telemarketing, sales calls, hotel visits, entertainment, virtual presentations etc.

3. Be familiar and effective in the sales process: create rapport, ask open questions, follow up, anticipate and manage expectations, advise conflicts, overcome objections, closing and obtain post-feedback.

4. Acquire new sales leads / prospects and establish new accounts to grow account / client base focused on events including but not limited to: weddings, social events, corporate meetings or banquet events (residential / non-residential included).

5. Foster and develop relationship with existing clients and customers to maintain loyalty.

6. Manage leads and enquiries and provide suitable solutions promptly.

7. Be familiar and diligent with various company systems and sales tools, such as property management system, customer relationship management system, function space booking etc.

8. Work collaboratively with the Operations team to ensure that we deliver the best to our guests.

9. Proactive update to event bookings and changes via Banquet Event Orders (BEO), attending BEO meetings etc.

10. Be present at client events and assist to manage where applicable.

11. Provide timely responses and communication

12. Gather and provide publicly available market information

13. Provide timely updates to superior and team on activities and market information

14. Achieve various monthly sales targets set to meet overall cluster budget.

15. Review account portfolio regularly and present to management to provide analysis on performance of each account and forward action plans.

16. Compliant with statutory regulations and internal guidelines/SOPs

17. Follow up with clients whose payments are outstanding and long overdue.

18. Participate in adhoc or promotional client and hotel / serviced residence activities.

19. Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by superiors diligently and professionally.


Requirements:

  • Diploma in Sales and Marketing
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with strong network
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge in banquet spaces, facilities and capabilities of the competitive market
