Job Description:
1) Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and reporting obligations.
2) Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the department.
3) Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
4) Financial Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide insights into key financial metrics and trends affecting the organization.
5) Process Improvement:
- Implement and enhance accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Identify and address any internal control weaknesses.
6) Audit Management:
- Coordinate and manage the external audit process, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Address audit findings and implement recommendations for improvement.
7) Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
8) Financial Systems Management:
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of financial management systems.
- Implement technology solutions to enhance the efficiency of accounting processes.
9) Strategic Financial Planning:
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.
- Contribute to the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Job Requirements: Min Degree in Accountancy & Finance or similar w min 12 yrs of relevant accounting leadership experience
