Mergers and Acquisitions Assistant Manager

Responsibilities & Expectations:

  • Lead M&A projects within the Asia consumer sector as a vital team member, facilitating collaboration with internal and external partners, from opportunity exploration to negotiation with stakeholders.
  • Source and propose M&A deals aligned with Company's strategic objectives, aiming for not just financial gains but strategic value additions.
    Support DGM and team leaders in developing new business ventures bridging SPAFF and Company portfolios.
  • Acquire an in-depth understanding of Company's diverse business lines and existing assets to facilitate value creation post-investments.
    Assist in the development and expansion of asset management ventures (including real estate, infrastructure, and data centers) across the Asian region under the guidance of DGM and team leaders.
  • Develop expertise in M&A transactions, extending beyond deal execution to encompass business creation and collaboration initiatives.
    Oversee and provide support to affiliated companies in Asian countries where Company has invested, particularly in asset management and private equity sectors.
  • Collaborate effectively with the global team as a proactive team member.
    Maintain clear and concise communication channels with internal divisions and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel, averaging 1-2 trips per month.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in M&A fundamentals (valuation, negotiation, investment structuring).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication and negotiation.
  • Thorough understanding of company management aspects such as accounting, tax, and human resources.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Preferably, experience in principal investment and post-investment management within operational companies.
  • Preferred background in private equity firms or investment banks.
  • Desirable experience in business development, including M&A, within operational companies.
  • Experience in managing investee companies would be advantageous.
  • Eagerness to learn about Company's diverse business assets and leverage them to drive investments and post-investment value creation.
