THE POSITION
Title:
Data Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Visualization Specialist to join our team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and maintenance of the company's data architecture, databases, and data processing systems. Your responsibilities will include designing, constructing, installing, and maintaining efficient data systems, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to support the collection (web scraping), processing, and storage of large datasets.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- Containerize applications using Docker for efficient deployment and scalability.
- Orchestrate containerized applications using Kubernetes to ensure reliability, scalability, and high availability.
- Design, deploy, and manage message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ) for asynchronous communication between microservices.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python to implement data processing algorithms and services.
- Work closely with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and implement solutions to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to optimize infrastructure and ensure seamless integration of data engineering solutions.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to ensure efficient data processing and storage.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our data engineering practices.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 2 to 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
· Strong proficiency in GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and message queuing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ).
· Advanced programming skills in Python, with experience in data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
· Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, but familiarity with any other cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is acceptable.
· Ability to work independently and proactively, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
