A financial institution is now expanding and now looking for an all rounded desktop support, in collaboration with Infrastructure Engineering and Global Service Desk teams, you'll play a key role in maintaining the smooth operation of the infrastructure, providing face-to-face technical support to employees and the global hybrid workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1/ Tier 2 workstation and systems operational support globally.
- Manage day-to-day administration, maintenance, and patch management of systems.
- Responsible to deliver the IT infrastructure projects
- Set up and/or move PCs and laptops, maintain, and deploy current images (SCCM/Intune).
- Perform system recovery of deleted files, software installations, and respond to user questions and requests for assistance.
- Setup and test IP-based video conference sessions and audio call setups.
- Coordinate with external parties to facilitate video call sessions, serving as a senior escalation point for numerous technologies
- Take ownership of escalated support tickets, managing them from initiation to resolution.
- Proficiency in VMware (Vsphere, ESXi) and Windows Server Administration, including monitoring and performance tuning.
- Ability to multitask and self-manage efficiently.
- Experience in maintaining DNS and DHCP.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of the importance of security in both personal work and organizational operations.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a quick and efficient ability to learn new processes.
- Regular collaboration with team members, users, and vendors.
- Ability to lift and move various computer hardware.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop administration
- Proven experience in a similar technical support role, preferably in a global corporate environment.
- Industry certifications (CompTIA A+, MCP, VCP) are advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with VMware and Windows Server Administration.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows, Office 365, SCCM & Microsoft Intune, Cisco video conferencing, and core business applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and self-manage efficiently.
- Comprehensive understanding of the importance of security in personal work and organizational operations.
