As a SCH Corporate Communication Director, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating strategies to increase awareness, engagement, and donations for our organization. You will work closely with the Executive Director, the Council of Governors, relevant Committee Member and other staff members to develop and execute communication and fundraising campaigns that align with our mission and vision. You will also oversee the management of our website, social media, email marketing, and media relations.
Some of your main duties will include:
- Conducting research on potential donors, grant opportunities, and best practices in non-profit communication and fundraising.
- Writing (annual report, web content, social medica content) and submitting grant proposals, press releases, brochures, and other communication materials.
- Oversee residents’ newsletter.
- Creating and managing online fundraising platforms and events, such as crowdfunding campaigns, webinars, and auctions.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, partners, media outlets, and community stakeholders.
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance and impact of communication and fundraising activities.
- Supervising and mentoring communication and fundraising staff and volunteers.
- Ensure all communication material are in full compliance with SCH Communications Policy.
- Manages staff who are responsible for Governance, HR, Programmes and Volunteer Management.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in communication and fundraising for a non-profit organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, WordPress, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, and other relevant software tools.
- Creativity, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
