Role Summary:
The Commercial Finance Analyst role within the Sales Operations Control and Analysis function entails serving as the primary finance business partner, offering strategic commercial financial analysis and insight to support the Company's manufacturing and trading business, particularly in global export markets. This position collaborates closely with the commercial finance leadership team and relevant business leaders to achieve business strategy objectives and meet revenue and profit targets.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct comprehensive financial analysis on product categories, brands, and markets, leveraging data to generate commercially relevant insights. This includes advanced financial modeling, profitability analysis, monitoring of business issues and their impact on the bottom line, and assessing the introduction of new products for actionable insights.
· Collaborate with business directors to monitor business goals, prospects, client profitability, and provide timely and relevant reporting and insights.
· Perform monthly variance analysis of financial results, reviewing them with commercial business leaders to ensure comprehension of drivers and associated risks, and managing selling and distribution expenses.
· Develop and manage budgets and rolling forecasts for sales and selling expenses, and conduct business reviews comparing actual performance to forecasts.
· Manage customer contracts, liaise with Legal Counsel and Business Directors, and oversee contracted sales targets and incentive programs.
· Ensure that overseas sales entities (including the Singapore market) adhere to operational controls and governance requirements.
· Utilize BI tools (such as Tableau) to enhance visibility of business performance and improve risk controls.
Desired Skills / Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial business partnering within a multinational corporation.
· Strong preference for candidates with experience in manufacturing and export business environments.
· Proficiency with ERP systems (Oracle) and Microsoft Excel is essential.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic and demonstrated teamwork skills.
· Excellent analytical, project management, and financial skills are required.
· Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
· Demonstrated capability to balance and manage various tasks with different skill requirements efficiently.
· Experience in pricing and costing analysis is preferred.
