Roles and Responsibilities:
A) Periodic walk through; Validation of equipment status, amber lights check.
B) Decommissioned of hardware inventories end of life and SME directions.
C) Manual inspection of rack space under direction of SME.
D) Verify Rack location in the DC, Potential server deployment rebooting of equipment and power cycle under direction of SME.
E) Restart Hardware after failure under direction of SME.
F) Perform Schedule Start up and shutdown hardware components.
G) Connect cables from Rack to Server under direction of SME.
H) Configure the RIB/ILO even after reboot.
I) Perform Network troubleshooting.
J) Perform RAID- Related Maintenance\ troubleshooting after a drive replacement under direction of SME.
K) Transport failed disk drives to a secure storage area pending eradication and return to vendor.
L) Escort- SSBT Approved vendor in Data Centre.
M) CMDB- Validation of Assets tagging for Servers/ Serial number for the Assets Competency.
N) SH&E Engineer physically power cycle the server by using power button of the server, under the direction of SME.
O) SH&E engineer responsible for Installation and decommissioning of Servers from Rack, Rail and Cage under direction of SME.
P) SH&E engineer accountable for Inform, Responsible and coordinate with other team members under direction of SME.
