Job Description:
As an IT Developer at Grey & Sanders, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions that enhance our digital platforms and optimize our omnichannel operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver scalable solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems to support various aspects of our omnichannel operations, including e-commerce platforms, inventory management systems, order processing systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
2. Frontend and Backend Development: Work on both frontend and backend development tasks, utilizing languages and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js to create responsive and efficient web applications.
3. Database Management: Design and optimize databases to store and retrieve data efficiently, ensuring data integrity and security across systems. Proficiency with SQL is required.
4. Integration and API Development: Integrate third-party services, APIs, and external systems with our platforms to streamline processes and enhance functionality. Develop custom APIs as needed to facilitate data exchange and communication between systems.
5. Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of software applications to identify and address any bugs, performance issues, or usability concerns. Implement automated testing frameworks and practices to ensure code quality and reliability.
6. Documentation and Collaboration: Document technical specifications, system architecture, and development processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the IT team and across departments. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and solicit feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development, and proactively identify opportunities to improve existing systems and processes. Participate in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and technical discussions to drive innovation and excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a software developer or software engineer, with a focus on web development and/or application development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript or similar
- Experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., React) and backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js) preferred.
- Strong understanding of database design and SQL
- Experience with API development and integration
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear and concise language for non-technical stakeholders.
