Job Description:
· Lead and coordinate multiple hospitality projects from concept design inception to completion
· Display a mastery of hotel operator brand standards, both aesthetic and technical aspects, across all categories of premium brands
· Display exemplary skill in the formulation of design concepts through story line narratives, effective mood imagery, and freehand sketches
· Articulate in translating approved design visions into graphic interior design renderings
· Able to physical interpretation of approved design concepts into beautiful and practical interior design, suited to the hotel brand standards
· Articulate in developing large space volumes, area zoning, space planning layouts, as well as micro small space planning
· Direct and closely manage the production of CAD technical drawings, details, furniture, sanitary and ironmongery specifications and transform these into a consolidated construction set
· Able to deliver good design within Client budget
· Mastery of furniture and millwork proportions, materials and surface finishes, fabrics and upholstery, as well as display an exemplary perception of colors under both artificial and natural lighting
· Display a strong knowledge of top product brands and vendor / supplier data base
· Able to coordinate and work with parallel engineering trades (eg. structural, plumbing, electrical, acoustics, AV, Kitchen) and specialty consultants
· Able to coordinate with clients and various consultants in meetings, presentations, site inspections, factory prototype reviews, and the like
· Be a driving force for upholding the Company’s reputation for high quality design, deliverables and client service, as well as provide encouragement and support to junior designers in the nurturing of their creative abilities
Requirements:
· Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or other relevant field
· A minimum of 12 years experience in architecture and interior with FF&E design of luxury and/or premium hospitality and private residential design
· Proficient in digital graphic presentation skills, including the knowledge of Photoshop, In Design, CAD, and Sketchup
· Strong in project management and QS skills (plus factor)
· Strong in team management and leadership skills
· Proficient in the production and coordination of technical architectural and engineering drawings, as well as loose furniture, lighting, carpets and specifications
· Good in on-site construction site inspections, factory visits, furniture installations and accessories styling of large and small interior spaces
