Qualifications for Quantity Surveyor
Diploma/ Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or its equivalent.
Capable of working on own initiatives and as part of the overall contracts team.
At least 3-4 years’ experience in representing the main contractor/consultants for residential and conservation projects in Singapore.
Proven ability in contract negotiation, contract administration & variation orders.
Good communication and presentation skills and time management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Reports to the Business Operation Manager with the management of subcontractors including the assessment and selection, placing orders and financial control of work undertaken.
Assist Project Manager in procurement administration and manage project budgeting.
Manage correspondence including the timely pricing and agreement of variations, effective handling of contract, and early settlement of disputes / claims.
Liaise and establish rapport with architects and developers, consultants, quantity surveyor.
Arrange off-site material visiting and attend tender interviews.
Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off quantities and prepare costing and budget for tenders and awarded projects.
Prepare and analyse cost comparison before and after completion of projects.
Certification of claims for subcontractors and suppliers for progress payment and finalization of accounts.
Prepare variation orders, claims, final accounts, settlement, and sub-contractor payments.
Ensure that up to date project files with proper documentation are maintained.
