Job Description
As a member of Network Revenue Optimization team within FedEx AMEA Marketing division, you will be responsible for Air Express demand and capacity planning for long and medium term. Air Express demand fluctuates and experiences “peak and trough” throughout a year while the goal is to optimize profitability and provide competitive service.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop quick understanding of FedEx air network, demand trends and commercial strategies to optimize capacity planning & maximize revenue.
- Commercial assessment & prepare revenue forecast for flight network changes.
- Understand business requirement and leverage data (FedEx internal and external data sources) to develop and present project plans and recommendations to management.
- Proactively collaborate and engage with other key stakeholders to lead and define marketing goals. You will work in close collaboration with cross functional teams in Asia,Middle East and Africa region.
- Demonstrates understanding of factors influencing goal achievement, communicates to key stakeholders and secures commitment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics or Statistics disciplines. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least three years’ work experience with strong analytical and project management skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills and comfortable with data manipulation
- Database query skills (Oracle & Teradata SQL skills)
- Experience with Reporting tools and basic knowledge of SAS
- Comfortable with navigating complex business questions by making reasonable assumptions to arrive at decisions.
- Good communication skills with high standard of written and spoken English.
- A quick learner with the ability to work independently and as a team. Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of the air cargo or express industry is an advantage
