Our Accountant will primarily be responsible for the full set of accounts for our entities in Singapore, Australia and Thailand and acts as a key business partner to the Group Finance Director. He/She is ultimately accountable for the accuracy of financial records in conjunction with broader administrative tasks across the enterprise to ensure our seamless operations.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage full set of accounts for our group of companies located in, but not limited to, Singapore, Australia and Thailand
- Manage day-to-day issuance of purchase orders, quotations and invoices for the group
- Maintain inventory records & fixed asset register
- Treasury management including payment processing, following up with clients for payments and bank reconciliations
- Co-ordinate and liaise with internal parties to support intercompany activities
- Manage suppliers (e.g. sourcing and negotiating for competitively priced suppliers, etc.)
- Prepare monthly schedules to facilitate month-end closing and year-end audit & tax activities
- Assist in GST filing and submission
- Support & ensure compliance to company policies and statutory requirements
- Liaise with outsourced accountants, auditors, tax agents etc. where required
- Adhoc administration/project support including new process/system implementation
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business/Commerce or CA or CPA with at least 4 years of relevant working experience
- Good understanding of accounting concepts/entries, detailed-orientated and able to multi-task, organize and take initiatives to meet job objectives and deadlines
- Hands-on, fast learner with positive & can-do attitude
- Independent, self-driven with strong communication & interpersonal skills and able to work as a team
- Prior accounting experience in locations we are operating in and knowledge in Xero accounting software will be advantageous
