Business Development Engineer

BKR Engineering is a pioneer in Singapore offering laser cleaning services, a state-of-the-art technology that supports a more effective and sustainable way of surface preparation. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Engineer to join our team, in this rapidly growing field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, identifying new markets, and achieving sales goals. The candidate will work on a freelance basis and will be paid by commission based on closed and completed deals. The candidate should have experience in industries other than energy and oil and gas.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze potential and existing markets to identify business opportunities
  • Propose and align with management on approach
  • Provide weekly updates
  • Establish and manage customer relations
  • Conduct market research to develop sales strategies and roadmaps
  • Develop and maintain good customer relationships for the future growth of the company
  • Identify new markets and opportunities
  • Provide pre-sale technical support as necessary
  • Report to the Director or delegate
  • Expected to undergo training to thoroughly familiarize with laser cleaning systems
  • Ability to apply for and pass tests for NEA licence to operate laser cleaners is a plus but not mandatory
  • Allowed to have seperate employment but must demonstrate ability to deliver


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Engineer or similar role
  • Experience in industries other than energy and oil and gas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to identify new markets and opportunities
  • Strong work ethics
  • Ability to work independently and achieve sales goals
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Positive attitude, interest to learn about new technologies
  • Possessing class 3 drivers licence is a plus but not mandatory
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office suite of software


Remuneration

  • No basic salary
  • Fully commission-based, based on a % of completed sale, to be agreed
  • Transport allowance included as part of all-in commission
  • Probation period applicable
