NIE invites applicants to join the Finance Department as an Executive. This is a 3-year contract position.

Executive (Finance Department) [NIE]

Responsibilities

You will be part of the team which handles research grant-related financial matters for the Institute. Your responsibilities will include:

· Administer research grants and projects.

· Payment processing of vendors’ invoices to ensure purchases are in accordance with rules and regulations of funding agencies.

· Payment processing of transport and general staff claims.

· Responding timely to enquiries pertaining to research grant financial matters.

· Assisting in the design, implementation and review of financial processes, policies and guidelines for continuous improvements, through streamlining and automation.

· Handling ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements

· A Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.

· 2 or 3 years of working experience in accounting.

· Organized and meticulous in handling numbers and data.

· An effective team player with a positive working attitude and is willing to learn and adapt, with problem-solving skills.

· Good organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritise, plan and multi-task and deliver assignments to adhere to timelines.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel pivot tables and formulas.

· Experience in SAP would be an added advantage.
