Job Description and Responsibilites
1.Establish the powder production process at HMSL. Plan and conduct process improvement and development activities relating to the powder products.
2.Learn proprietary material development technology to support the development of new material application methods, transfer new products to production.
3.Participate in transfer of proprietary technology from Germany to Singapore manufacturing location.
4.Assess requirements and actively recommend new lab/analytical equipment; participate in the decision-making process for the acquisition of this new equipment and systems to support innovative products.
5.Manage development projects, participate in technical discussions, and provide critical advice to management to maintain a focus on excellence.
Analyze and identify problems with existing products and originate formula or process changes.
6.Provide technical advice, expertise, and troubleshooting consultation to field engineers and to current and potential customers regarding product usage, flexibility, and applications.
7.Remain abreast of technical developments in the field; obtain information through literature and patents.
8.Function as a technical resource to sales, marketing, field engineers and manufacturing.
9.Maintain accurate and complete records for projects, including review of records of a multidisciplinary team.
10.Author technical reports, technical papers, patent applications, project updates, and technical overviews as required; present results at international customers and at conferences.

Fluent in English; fluency in German and in Mandarin would be an advantage
Literate in all MS Office applications

Education:
Chemical engineering or Chemist (general chemistry or inorganic chemistry)
Master of Science or Bachelor’s degree
Experience
Experience:
Strong scientific experience with wet chemical process .
Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in the area of solder/assembly materials for semiconductor technology applications.

Supervisor: Senior Technical Manager, RDT and CA, no direct reports
