Our Client
My client within the Energy / Shipping space is looking to hire its General Counsel to be based in Singapore to cover Asia Pacific.
The Role
- Have extensive experience in corporate and litigation, reviewing shipping and e commerce related contracts
- Provide legal support to other support functions including IT, HR, Finance and Treasury, either for standalone matters or in conjunction with primary role.
- Provide transaction-specific compliance support as needed.
- Work closely with other in-house counsels within the Group based overseas on matters of common/related interest.
- Instruct and manage the work of external legal counsel as needed.
- Carry out such other ad hoc tasks as required by Management.
To Qualify
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) and 10 - 15 years of experience in related field
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about renewable energy industry.
- Strong drafting and negotiating experience.
- Fluent spoken and written English is mandatory
