Position Summary
A Global 3PL Logistics entity, seeking for a Logistics Operations Manager to lead a team in the management of logistics and warehouse operations to achieve targeted performance and required service standards.
Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the logistics operations
• Responsible for P&L of the operations
• Supervises and develops staff
• Provide inputs for department’s future needs and operations by defining roles and responsibilities for the team
• Drive Lean Warehousing System
• Constantly look for improvement opportunities along the value chain, to streamline and re-engine the processes to achieve and exceed the service standard or target.
• Enforce security and work safety measures and controls in the warehouse.
• Responsible for meeting and exceeding customer metrics (cost, quality, Customer Service and Supplier Performance)
• Train and manage the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience in shipper (managing 3PL) / 3PL environment
• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics/ Supply Chain Management/ Engineering or equivalent work experience in the logistics field
• Prior experience in managing an operations size of 40-60 personnels will be an added advantage
• Good working knowledge on warehouse management, inventory planning, local distribution and transport management.
• Possess strong leadership skills
• Good communications and interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of customs and regulatory issues related to Logistics
• Experience in WMS systems and possess good computer skills
