JOB DESCRIPTION
THIS IS A 2-YEAR RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.
The Assistant Manager/ Manager, Corporate Programmes 2, leads the team responsible for conceptualising, designing, executing, facilitating, and managing programmes and events for the entities managed by the Defence Collective Singapore (DCS), to engage various audience groups (to visit or as part of outreach efforts). The jobholder will report to Deputy Director, Corporate Programmes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead team in the development and implementation of events and programmes (includes conceptualisation, planning, coordination, monitoring, execution and facilitation) – with main focus on Corporate groups
- Manage event enquiries, requests or correspondences
- Work with Sales team to develop and deliver events and programmes for target audience
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, partners and external vendors to ensure smooth operations for events, including procuring goods and services for event execution
- Plan the deployment of Part-timers (PTs) and External Facilitators (EFs) for programmes and events
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including delivery reports, post event surveys, and analysis for the programmes and events
- Handle and respond to feedback
- Support other team members in Corporate Programmes division, as well as School Programmes teams for key events / programmes, such as events planning and facilitation
- Other dutie as assigned
Challenges:
- Needs to be able to effectively interact with colleagues within the division and other departments, such as Sales and EMP, as well as relevant external stakeholders, to ensure timely execution of programmes and events
- Needs to be able to manage resources and ensure sufficient time is buffered for implementation plans, with internal/external stakeholders’ operational considerations in mind.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a Diploma / Degree
- Preferably with 5 or more years’ experience in leading, organising and delivering programmes or events. First-hand experience with coordinating family days and other large scale events will be an advantage
- Strong leadership abilities to be able to motivate and manage team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking, communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills
- Organised, able to multi-task and handle tight deadlines
- Willing to work weekends and nights when needed
- Have a strong command of both written and spoken English
- Good knowledge and application of MS Office applications, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop, Illustrator) optional but would be an asset
