Key Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of fixed assets, including additions, transfers, disposals/retirements and construction in progress.
- Ensure assets are capitalised in accordance with the institution’s accounting policies and compliance with the Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
- Perform fixed assets reconciliations and depreciation computation.
- Assist in fixed asset analysis or reporting.
- Coordinate/perform the yearly asset sighting exercise.
- Provide advisory to user Divisions on fixed assets processes to ensure compliance with relevant policies.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Carry out any other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial operations, preferably with working experience in Fixed Assets function.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP ERP System.
- Meticulous with a keen eye for details.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- A highly motivated and independent individual.
- A good team player.
