The Product Executive has overall responsibility to support the team in achieving the sales and profit targets for the related product groups and creating the highest return for both Tech Data and the vendor. While responsible for revenue outcomes, this is a sales enablement position where this will be achieved through marketing programs, sales training, sales support, technical pre-sales support, vendor contract and vendor relationship. These activities, especially sales and marketing are targeted at both the Tech Data extended sales team and the partner community.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for promotion and sales of the company's suite of products
- Implementation of sales enablement programs for Tech Data and partners
- Conceptualizing of marketing programs, developing of channel and demand generation to support product group objectives
- Product and Inventory Management of appointed product lines
- Work closely with different stakeholders in the company
- Liaise with and develop relationship with principals, strategic accounts
- Engagement and cultivation of strong rapport with partners and vendors
- Maintenance and development of operational level vendor relationships
- Ensuring highest and continuously improving levels of vendor and partner satisfaction
- Execution of joint initiatives with our vendor and business partners
- Implementation of business plans that achieve agreed vendor revenue targets and generate the planned profit outcomes
- Channel distribution development and training
- Gathering of market intelligence on new products, industry trends, competitive development and constant evaluation of potential new product lines
- Maintain knowledge of sales processes, proposals, pipeline management, partner engagement so that remedial actions can be recommended where necessary
- Measurement and maintenance of critical product group performance data in order to ensure that Tech Data meets its vendor commitments and fully leverages all commercial opportunities for rebates and other vendor investment initiatives
- Support the manager in business forecasting and business planning for product groups with vendors
- Provision of various reports for the purposes of commercial decision making
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in IT/Business/Marketing/Sales or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in a similar function in the IT industry
- Customer-driven and result-oriented
- Meticulous, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- A team player with entrepreneur mindset, excellent communication, analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills
