RESPONSIBILITIES
- As an automation design engineer, your duties will include establishing automated assembly lines for manufacturing as well as enhancing and supporting current production. Along with handling drawing changes throughout the design and debugging processes, your other responsibilities include developing machines, jigs, and fixtures while staying within budget and scheduling constraints. You will collaborate closely with organisations from many fields.
- Create a semi-automatic/fully automatic machine or fixture for a new product and enhance an existing procedure while taking cost and quality into account.
- In order to satisfy a new need, improve an existing machine.
- To make sure all designs are current, create a machine 3D, 2D, and bill of materials list.
- Make sure the design satisfies the requirements by reviewing the machine design.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical engineering field
- At least 4 years of Industrial Automation Design is an advantage.
- Ability to design assembly machine, jig and fixture with guidance
- Knowledge of AutoDesk Inventor software
- Knowledge and experience with GD&T, DFM, FMEA, Vision System, Robotic, Lean Manufacturing
- Six Sigma and Problem Solving Methodology
