- The role is to define the strategic framework for IWM, lead the planning process, coordinate business cases, funding requests, monitor business performance, management reporting etc. to support a high-performing business from a regional perspective

- The role would be reporting to the Head of Group Islamic Wealth Management

- To ensure IWM targets achieved and highlights performance issues and actions required
- To secure the required budgets and resources for GIWM
- To ensure successful delivery of key projects and adherence to the governance process
- To ensure good governance of the business unit
Job Description
- Strategy development
Formulate and implement Islamic Wealth management strategies in alignment with Shariah principles to meet organizational goals
- Business Management
Monitor and report on business performance, analyzing leading indicators and trends and initiating corrective actions where needed. Lead the planning, budgeting and business case process, helping to secure budget and resources
- Business Growth
Drive business expansion in the Islamic Wealth Management sector by identifying growth opportunities and establishing strategic partnerships. Leverage data and analytics for IWM use cases
- Business Governance
Manage governance requirements for the business unit including business forums, reporting, cost management and administrative matters. Lead on risk and compliance matters for GIWM
- Team Leadership
Build and lead a high performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration and commitment to Islamic Finance principles
Job Requirement
- Background in Wealth Management and business strategy would be advantageous. MBA would be an advantage but not essential
- 10-20 years experience in banking, wealth management and business strategy
- Banking and wealth management expertise
- Strategic vision
- Leadership skills
- Financial modelling skills
- Data and analytics competencies
- Project management and agile experience
- Risk and compliance awareness
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Advanced user of Microsoft Powerpoint and Excel
- International experience would be a plus
- Ability to lead a decentralized team
