You will be part of the operations in a ice cream café, serving handcrafted ice-cream, in-house coffee and food. If you love ice-cream & coffee and enjoy working in a cafe setting, this is the place for you!
Job Description:
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Greet customers in a friendly manner as they enter and exit.
- Pay attention to details when taking orders (especially on preferences of coffee blend, dairy, sugar ratios, and nuts)
- Advise and recommend beverage and ice-cream flavours according to guest preferences
- Able to scoop and serve gelato and beverages to customers
- Able to prepare and serve the different types of food and beverages based on customers preference by following prescribed recipes and techniques
- Provide excellent customer service experience (e.g. prompt response to requests)
- Address and resolve customer issues in a polite and effective manner; enlist manager or shift supervisor when necessary
- Receive and process cash and cashless payments
- Maintain stock of clean mugs, plates and utenstils
- Keeping the work bar area clean, sanitary, and organised
- Maintain food and beverage making appliances/ equipment in a functional and clean manner to support efficient food and beverage making
- Upkeep the cleanliness of café (e.g. tables/ chairs are clean and floor are dry)
- Ensure stock supplies are sufficient, and to inform management when inventories are low
- Ensure cleaning schedule is followed
- Assist in the opening & closing of cafe
- Assist any other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
Job Requirements:
- Min. commitment of 6 months
- Valid food safety course level 1 certificate preferred
- Able to commit on weekends, public holidays and overtime as and when required (i.e. to discuss work days and time period during interview)
- Basic personal hygiene
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skill
- Good working attitude, ethics, initiative and mindset
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance
- Warm and cheerful personality
