Job Description
- Ensure timely submission of the financial year end/monthly’s accounts.
- Monitor closely the account closing activities and provide guidance to staff when necessary.
- Perform month-end analytical review and review accounting schedules.
- Support in the preparation of GST and revenue reconciliation and ensure timely submission of quarterly GST to IRAS
- Responsible for monthly/year-end income and deferred tax provision computation
- Support in the preparation of property tax and port license fee computations and ensure timely submission of the audited report and requested information to the relevant authority
- Ensure accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standard (SFRS) and accounting principles (Matching, Prudence & etc)
- Responsible for the timely preparation and completion of the annual report and ensuring compliance with Financial Reporting Standards
- Support in the preparation of budget and forecast related to Finance, subsidiaries and Chief Executive office
- Ensure timely submission of Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) financial statement for annual filing
- Furnish financial information to department of statistics and other government bodies
- Initiate process improvements for proper internal controls
- Managing intercompany reconciliation
- Coordinate and assist in annual audit and stock-take related activities
- Follow-up and work closely with internal audits recommendations
- Any other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or ACCA
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in accounting or reputable audit firm. Audit experience will be advantageous.
- Certified Accountant preferrable
- A self-starter, with good problem-solving skills and attention to details
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management, with demonstrated track record on collaboration
- Strong Knowledge of FRS, tax and experience working with Oracle applications
