Responsibilities:
- Manage and Support Customer’s Request including Weekly / Monthly Reporting requirement
- Attend to Customer’s routine Weekly / Monthly Meeting
- Preparation of off-site tapes based on standard SOP
- Monitoring of daily backup jobs based on standard SOP
- Manual changing of tapes for customers who had subscript to this services
- Remote hand support for our partners/customers (rebooting of servers or network equipment’s)
- Managing of all visitors visit within the Data Centre
- Managing of keys to all racks within the Data Centre
- Liaising with vendors/partners on customers issues
- Preparation of new rack or private vault for new customer
- Monitoring of incoming mails and response if within the job scope
- Answering of incoming calls and response if within the job scope
- Assist to maintenance and update all the necessary documentation
- Assist to cover level 1 engineer duties
- Working experience of Patch Panel distributions.
- Testing of cables as appropriate.
- Maintain rack allocation and data center process and procedures. Support audit activities.
- Oversee environmental conditions to ensure power requirements; power distribution, HVAC are operating within guidelines.
- Maintain inventory and labelling of equipment and removal decommissioned hardware.
- Oversee, or perform, daily, weekly and monthly inspections of infrastructure supporting data center operations.
- Report to management all data center and computing facility incidents.
- Support the company’s commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
- Any other ad-hoc work related to Data Centre operations.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Info-communication technology
- Basic knowhow in MS office.
- Detailed knowhow about Copper Cablings of Data Centre.
- Detailed Knowhow about fiber cable types, connectors, use etc.
- Experience in backup software (such as VERITAS and Legato) will have an advantage.
