As a credit intern, you will be part of a team which is working to support our rapid growth at Funding Societies. Our credit team is responsible for making lending decisions. In addition to having a knack for problem-solving, it is absolutely crucial that you are willing to learn, understand and listen to the needs of our customers.
What you will do:
- To assist in monitoring credit limits and exposure.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date credit files and documentation.
- To ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures.
- Assist in preparing credit reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct research on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory developments affecting credit risk.
- To communicate with internal and external stakeholders regarding credit matters.
- To maintain accurate and up-to-date credit files.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by the credit team.
What you will need:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and preferaby G-Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Eagerness to learn and develop skills in credit analysis and risk management.
- Prior internship or work experience in finance or banking (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of financial markets, accounting principles, and credit risk concepts (preferred but not required).
