Job Role

ADC has since regained its pace for service users and customers. A leader who is responsible and possesses good interpersonal and communication skills, the Manager oversees all operations in ADC. He needs to be proactive in looking out for different assistive devices for our Visually Impaired (VI) clients. Willing to share good knowledge and training on the devices that ADC offers.

Job Descriptions

  • Oversee and manage the operation of ADC;
  • AT Development – track development in the AT domain through various channels including online sources, conferences, networking sessions, etc and support partners in joint AT related projects/initiatives;
  • Leverage online channels to raise awareness about AT & ADC;
  • To resolve any technical issues/ problems face by clients including repair & maintenance;
  • Engage visitors and provide advisory on assistive technology adoption on a periodic basis;
  • In charge of shipments and keeping track of low vision devices sent oversea for repair;
  • Do budgeting and month end sales report;
  • Helps to cover sales report, attend to client enquiries and demo of products;
  • Support overall ADC daily operations which include attending to walk-in clients, making appointment for clients/random outstation for checking client’s devices and also demonstrate to clients on usage of devices;
  • Knowledge on the work scope of both ADC Coordinator and Technical staff so as to cover their duties during their absence;
  • Support events organized by SAVH or our partners; and
  • Other duties as and when assigned by Executive Director

Requirements and skills

  • Degree/Diploma in info-comm technology, mechanical/electrical engineering background with years of experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in market analysis, good presentation & writing skills, content generation, the ability to articulate ideas clearly and project management.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, adaptable to changing circumstances and resourceful in problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a pleasant disposition
  • Team player, while working independently on individual responsibilities with minimum supervision.
  • Prior experience in social sector would be an advantage.
