Software and Applications Manager

Job Responsibilities:

The expected responsibilities are;

  • Archive the department's strategic mission through managing and motivating the team members.
  • Plan and define the department strategies and drive it with getting internal approval and consensus.
  • Manage the department's performance daily, weekly, monthly basis.
  • Manage sales documents like a quotation, invoice, contract, and agreement.
  • Foster good relationships with the client to get new opportunities.
  • Manage and monitor the IT projects under this department from quality, progress, cost, and resources.
  • Explore new client and business partners to get new opportunities.
  • Oversee the acquisition and development of software systems in organisational units.
  • Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented in the organisation.
  • Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered.

Experiences & Requirements:

  • Candidates should have either (1a) or (1b):

o (1a) At least a Bachelor’s degree in any of these faculties:

・Computer Science

・Information Technology

・Programming & Systems Analysis

・Science (Computer Studies)

o (1b) Minimum total three years’ work experience in at least one of these job titles:

・Application development manager

・Head of applications development

・Software and applications manager

・Software development manager

  • Over 15 years’ experience in IT projects of Financial Institution.
  • Experience as Line manager.
  • Possess strong communication skills to communicate with Japanese-speaking and English-speaking stakeholders and understand technical documents written in Japanese or English.
  • Proactive stance and try to find the work to be done by themselves.
  • Knowledge of Financial industry domain.
  • Adhere the compliance.
  • Experience working with Japanese companies and understanding of Japanese culture to build a better relationship with customers.
