· Collaborate with divisions to ensure that month and year-end close activities are completed in a timely manner.
· Ensure divisional monthly financial reports are submitted promptly.
Conduct analytical reviews of monthly financial performance, highlighting key variances and investigating exceptions.
· Monitor fixed and variable costs to better understand cost drivers and enhance budget accuracy.
· Review and provide input on financial matters related to funding requests, quarterly project reporting, and end of project reporting.
· Monitor and analyze operating revenue, expenses, and capital expenditure utilization against budget and funding sources in detail.
· Work closely with divisions and project teams on monthly forecasts, annual budgets, revised budget submissions, and presentations to stakeholders for approval.
· Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, IMs, and government policies.
Maintain ongoing communication with business units to stay informed of business developments.
· Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with business units.
· Undertake ad hoc projects, analysis work, or any other assigned duties as needed.
· Coordinate the preparation of divisional forecasts and annual budgets for review and approval.
· Assist in the implementation of Tableau Dashboard, including data collation and data wrangling in Excel before uploading to the Tableau server.
· Verify data transferred from Excel to Tableau and ensure the accuracy of dashboards.
· Make improvements to Tableau Dashboard, including minor bug fixes and impact analysis of new requirements and features.
· Collaborate with Finance Business Partners on day-to-day operations, including financial analysis for use in data analysis in Tableau Dashboard (Cost Centre Variance Analysis).
Job requirements:
· Degree in Accountancy/ACCA or a relevant professional accounting qualification, along with a minimum of 8 years of experience. Previous experience in Finance Business Partner roles within the Technology industry is highly desirable.
· The ideal candidate will demonstrate sophisticated presentation and storytelling skills, enabling them to create insightful presentations and effectively communicate the business narrative to influence stakeholders and establish trust as a valued business partner. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to build and maintain relationships, effectively communicate across all levels, and excel in problem-solving.
· Additionally, candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think creatively and strategically.
· A keen business acumen is crucial for success in this role. A positive, can-do attitude, attention to detail, proficiency in handling large amounts of data, and willingness to engage in hands-on tasks are also key attributes.
· The successful candidate must be adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. They should be confident in proposing, justifying, initiating, and implementing change to drive business growth and success.
Proficient in Workday, Dashboarding tools and Microsoft Office such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau. Programming knowledge will be an advantage
