Our client is a leading offshore survey equipment company (mechanical and robotic equipment) looking for a Workshop Manager to join their team in Singapore.
This is a full-time permanent position where the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the workshop located in Loyang, controlling the quality of repairs, managing deliveries and helping subordinates (around 15 staff members to manage, 3 direct reports).
Responsabilities will include:
- Responsible for delivering on client orders in a professional, timely and safe manner, and critically important for retaining client business over the longer term.
- Ensure Operational support matters are dealt with promptly and professionally
- Prioritising workshop resources to optimally meet business demands.
- Working closely with team members to assist win and retain client business.
- Driving excellence in all aspects of operationally delivery.
Requirements:
- Great leadership skills managing a similar size team
- Experience with offshore operations
- Good technical knowledge in offshore equipment
- Manage the Workshop Delivery teams (Goods In, Out, Repairs, Cal, Tooling, NDT, Stores and Logistics), ensuring objectives and KPIs are understood, cascaded to each team, andperformance-managed.
- Ensure overtime is effectively utilised and Workshop team members individually contribute tothe overtime workload.
- Maintain showcase workshop and annex standards, and ensure no backlog of Inspection andRepairs is allowed to exist.
- Proficiently competent with Microsoft products (Office applications, AX, etc)
