GS-OS RS Team Lead - Physical Security/Facility Management/Infrastructure Asia

Job purpose:

This position is responsible for the management of Facility Infrastructure and Physical Security of Office Building, Production and DR Data Centre as well as BCP site in Singapore.

In addition, the incumbent is responsible for Physical Security and Facility/Infrastructure support across Asia, including steering all upcoming renovation and relocation projects in Asia.

Furthermore, the incumbent is responsible for the design and formulation of processes to optimize the workflow and assignment of duties and responsibilities to the respective team members to ensure optimal allocation of manpower and resources effectively. He/she is to ensure that all processes/services are in line with the internal and external policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.


Key activities:

  • Lead and guide the team in providing comprehensive support in Facility/Infrastructure Management and Physical Security.
  • Act as the first contact person for all Facility Management and Physical Security tasks in Singapore and establish guidelines and objectives to improve work efficiency and operational controls.
  • Is responsible for the general maintenance of the properties, building and facility infrastructures and liaise with the colleagues of IT for any related infrastructure.
  • Ensure smooth running of daily building and facility operations and work closely with the respective Building Managements and 3rdparty service providers.
  • Establish and implement physical security processes and ensure compliance with Bank’s security standards and local regulatory requirements across Asia.
  • Implement and operate workplace technology and physical security systems, e.g. occupancy sensors, smart lockers, physical access control system, closed circuit television (CCTV) and alarm systems across Asia.
  • Establish and review the local security strategy / plan for the branch and local business / recovery sites.
  • Steer and manage GS-OS Regional Services Outsourcing in due consideration of internal and external requirements together with the respective Local Heads.
  • Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time which are commensurate with the post.

This position will be based in Singapore.


Formal education:

  • Degree in Facility/Building Infrastructural Management or Governance Management

Work Experience

  • At least 5 – 8 years’ experience in similar setup
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Resourceful and have good motivational and conflict management skills
  • Service oriented and cross-cultural skills

Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Organization or Facility Unit with a large corporate or banking industry, focused primarily on Building Infrastructural Management and Governance Management.
