We are currently seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join our team and support our clients' APAC Network and Datacenter domain. This team is responsible for all Network, Telecom, and Datacenter services across the APAC region. The position involves managing network infrastructure aspects related to power shutdowns in data centers and technical rooms, coordinating disaster recovery exercises, and overseeing activities that affect the health of the network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Drive active participation from partners and suppliers in daily network operations to ensure stability across network and voice infrastructure.
- Oversee the LAN/WAN network, manage connectivity, and ensure firmware and operating systems of network devices are regularly updated with the latest patches.
- Enhance operational efficiency by automating routine network tasks using Python scripting and providing level one operational support for telecom services.
- Support, configure, and manage Cisco Routers, Switches, and event correlation appliances, while also collaborating with Network Architects to optimize network performance and execute enhancement projects.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for all network operations issues, ensuring effective communication and real-time, 24/7 issue management.
- Engage with business parties and external vendors, including carriers and cabling contractors, to address operational issues and fulfill both daily and project-specific requirements.
- Adhere to Change Management policies and procedures during network changes, maintain up-to-date network documentation and risk assessments, and assist the Architect team with new infrastructure implementations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Network services, with minimum 2 years in finance industry.
- Required technical certifications: CCNA/CCNP/CCIE. Holder of CCNP is the minimum requirement
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and DWDM Optical Transport.
- Proficient in network monitoring and telemetry tools such as SolarWinds, cPacket, CISCO ISE, ServOne, and experience with ITIL framework.
- Demonstrated ability in network automation using Python, Ansible, or other programming languages.
- Skilled in Change, Incident, and Problem management within the banking industry, with a good grasp of risk management principles and collaboration with information security and risk teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English, and the ability to work proactively and independently as a self-motivated team player.
- Vendor management experience and proficiency in SharePoint.
- Availability for non-standard work hours and willingness to provide 24/7 on-call standby support.
