Job Responsibilities
- Drive product development in the company working through the capability centres in the business units.
- Lead product road mapping, technology exploration, and solutions development across the business units working with business development.
- Govern company R&D policy and procedures consisting of the following.
- Earmarking of company R&D funds to achieve company productization strategy.
- Organise R&D Steering Committee Meetings to approve new projects and review progress of approved projects.
- Track progress of R&D projects led by business units to ensure outcomes are met.
- Submit eligible R&D expenditures for tax relief.
- Guide the business units’ Head of Technology in the delivery on their workplans.
- Promote culture of innovation and digitalisation
- Organise the company’s participation in innovation awards.
- Lead the development of the Engineering Competency Framework for the company to sustain and build new capabilities in the company.
Job Requirement
- Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
- Breadth of knowledge in autonomous technologies and digital solutions.
- Product development experience an advantage.
KPIs
- Number of New/improved products and services.
- Amount of R&D funding secured from grants or equivalent.
