Responsibilities:
- Provide directions and advice to Management, Lab Managers on all technical & lab operational aspects.
- Operational responsibility as Laboratory Director of Cordlife facilities as designated; ensure adherence to internal policies and operating procedures, AABB (or other applicable international) standards and local authority regulations.
- Lead technical and/or laboratory operational developments for the validation and integration of new products, services and processes.
- Implementation of new products and initiatives for the company as directed.
- Scouting and assessments of potential new products, services, technologies and processes for the company.
- Evaluate processing data, ensure product safety, efficacy and endpoints met.
- Ensure daily aspects of laboratory processes are performed in accordance with SOPs and quality standards met.,
- Responsible for lab operations budget planning, and implementation.
- Provide training & development, continuing education including speaking engagements.
- Oversees cord blood unit releases.
- Interface with Country Director(s), Medical Director and Senior Management on new initiatives.
- Interface with Doctors, clients, health authorities and accrediting bodies.
