Summary

The Senior Solutions Consultant is a key partner to different business verticals and provides the consulting in the development and presentation of solutions for customers to address the complex problems that Workiva's platform and solutions solve. The qualified candidate will be able to offer subject matter expertise to the sales function, supporting the business and functional aspects of Workiva's platform and solutions via technical and architecture presentations, product demonstrations, and communication of value-based messaging about the Workiva platform. Additionally, the job requires development of example solutions, prototypes and proofs of concept to demonstrate viability and value of Workiva solutions.

We are looking for an expert who can leverage the experiences and capabilities to empathize with customers and thrive in solving sophisticated and diverse challenges and build a relationship with customers to be their trusted advisor.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with various business verticals (including field sales, partnership, customer success, client services, product marketing, etc.) to identify, design, and deliver valuable solution consulting to customers.
  • Conduct process assessments with customers, builds Proof of Concepts and/or tailor demonstration.to-be vs as-is status to validate requirements, builds and presents customer specific business cases, showcasing Workiva’s unique value propositions.
  • Address analytical, functional and technical inquiries related to Workiva solutions and products.
  • Support sales in developing account plans in support of Workiva strategies and objectives and have accountability on solution consulting and expansion.
  • Executes pre-sales framework to engage customers, prospects, and partners, drive the solution discovery process, and identify areas where Workiva solutions align to address customer/prospect needs.
  • Ensures customer success by working with Workiva Client Services team for smooth on-boarding and long term success.
  • Demonstrates knowledge across multiple domain areas developing working knowledge of industries, departments, and use cases where Workiva can have an impact and continue to learn further on relevant industry, solution and domain knowledge within Workiva and outside of Workiva.
  • Manage relationships with client-side of team from various business to drive solution roadmap
  • Assists in developing new use-cases or by using existing templates providing proof of our solution's impact and value proposition.
  • Actively stays up to date with updates in the competitor landscape, regulations, key events and disseminate the relevant information to the team in a timely manner.
  • Improve the value pitching and solution consulting capabilities within the team through mentorship, asset developments, process improvement and so on.
  • Work with Product Marketing, Client Services, Scoping, and Customer Success to achieve team and company goals.
  • Continue to think outside the box and leverage the experiences/knowledge to improve the solution consulting team’s capabilities, value, positioning and ultimately drive the growth of the company

What You’ll Need

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD without experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience engaging with and presenting to business, accounting, finance and/or IT managers and executives.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates proactive collaboration and feedback to product management teams to capture new customer requirements and enhancements, may require guidance as needed.
  • Hands on technical experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies, and architectures preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, GRC, GL, FP&A, or Analytics & Reporting solutions and their related technology platforms is a plus.
  • Prior experience working with Financial Reporting technology, such as the Workiva platform, would be a plus.
  • Capability to gather business needs and present a value based, compelling software demonstration is preferred
