n Build and architect backup solutions to address client requirements
n Manage and operator IT backup devices
n Plan for, develop, deliver and support properly engineered IT services and backup solutions to meet the needs of a business
n Provide technical support, advise and implementation to the various phases of development, user acceptance testing, production and disaster recovery, where applicable
n Installation and maintenance of the backup system
n installation of upgrades and patches
n Performance and capacity monitoring & management and security compliance
n Manage and operation backup systems hardware, software, communications and / or application solutions.
n Coordinate with vendors for hardware break fix and project activities
n Prepare for new or changed services, management of the change process, management of performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance
n Support the operation and maintenance of vendor products, services and solution.
n Perform sizing, troubleshooting services and manage critical client situations related to backup & restore systems
n Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational, availability and SLA reports
n Interact with clients (internal or external) to understand and meet requirements for the delivery of services related to backup & restore systems
n Support power shutdown /startup for backup & restore systems
n Provide support to customer projects to enhance the backup & restore infrastructure environment
