Job Purpose
The individual in this role plays a vital role in driving revenue growth and financial success. This position involves strategizing, analyzing data, and implementing initiatives to achieve and exceed financial targets and will support the Director of Sales in overseeing the Corporate Sales team, aiming to achieve revenue targets for Club-wide entities. Examine diverse revenue streams and endeavour to penetrate potential market segments. Additionally, the incumbent will collaborate with the Director to evaluate the budgets of different business units and devise effective sales strategies to attain the sales target.
Roles and Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Contribute to the development of a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with financial goals and KPIs.
- Analyze market trends and competitor performance to identify opportunities for revenue growth for Uplay
Financial Target Achievement:
- Work closely with the sales team to set and achieve revenue targets, with a keen focus on financial KPIs.
- Monitor and assess performance against financial objectives and implement corrective measures when necessary.
Budget Management:
- Collaborate with finance and other relevant departments to develop and manage the sales budget.
- Ensure effective allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
Pricing Strategies:
- Work with respective Bus to develop and implement effective pricing strategies.
- Optimize room rates, WWW packages to achieve optimal revenue yield for Uplay sales
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed financial targets.
- Provide guidance on financial aspects of sales, including negotiations and deal structuring.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align strategies and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management to optimize overall revenue performance.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Foster relationships with key clients and corporate accounts to drive high-value sales.
- Ensure that customer satisfaction initiatives align with financial goals.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to financial performance and develop contingency plans.
- Implement proactive measures to mitigate risks and uncertainties.
Compliance and Ethical Standards:
- Ensure that all sales activities comply with industry regulations and ethical standards.
- Uphold the integrity of financial transactions and reporting.
Qualifications and Other Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field.
- Proven experience in events or hospitality sales, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and good networking skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry, market trends, and competitors.
- Proficient in using salesforce
- Preferred for incumbent to have good working knowledge in the leisure and the entertainment industry
