Your background
• You are a very strong Python developer with extensive experience building middle-tier services
• You are a self-starter and eager learner.
• You are a hands-on developer with work experiences in any of the following languages such as Java, C# or .NET.
• You have a good understanding of common algorithms and data structures.
• You have strong problem-solving and analytics skills.
• You have a good understanding of SDLC and application of Agile Methodologies including but not limited to automated testing (such as Test-Driven Development), Code Review, Continuous Integration and Version Control Systems.
• Ideally, you have an education in computer science (or relevant subjects).
What you can expect
The CIRRUS team manages a dynamic rules engine that provides solutions to produce regulatory reports for the Bank regulators within the Global Markets domain. Regulations include, but are not limited to MiFid2, EMIR, HKMA, MAS, ASIC and JFSA. We have a team of strong developers who are able to leverage off each other’s expertise and technical skills. We would be able to offer a highly technical track to developers who would like to pursue career in the technical domain within Investment Banking.
What you will do
• You would spend 80% of time in hands-on programming.
• You would be responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Global Markets environment.
• You would collaborating with global teams to design and build new functionality on Quartz and other shared platforms.
• You would be interacting directly with end users, compliance and senior stakeholders to capture requirements without having to rely on business analysts or project managers.
• You would be managing a high level of risk with in-depth capital markets product knowledge.
• You would provide level 3 production support for applications.
