We're looking for a Software Quality Engineer to join our team. This role involves ensuring top-notch software quality through rigorous testing processes, both manual and automated. Experience with Cypress for automated testing and k6 for performance testing is key. If you're passionate about software quality and enjoy working in Agile environments, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test reports ensuring alignment with project and security requirements.
- Conduct thorough testing on new features, identifying and documenting defects.
- Perform a variety of tests including manual, functional, performance, and exploratory tests, as well as User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with the in-house development team, vendors, and users to execute tests such as User Acceptance Test (UAT), systems integration tests, and performance tests.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of relevant, up-to-date technologies, practices, and tools, particularly focusing on Cypress for automated testing and k6 for performance testing, within Agile software projects.
- Actively participate in technical discussions and solutioning sessions, contributing insights and recommendations.
- Uphold the Quality Standards of the software at every stage of development.
- Execute both manual and automated test scripts efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in software quality testing.
- Strong understanding of testing techniques, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Proficiency with open-source automated testing frameworks, with a preference for Cypress, and open-source performance testing tools, such as k6.
- Experience working in Agile development teams, employing methodologies and practices such as Scrum.
- Desired character traits include setting high expectations for oneself, willingness to share knowledge and mentor colleagues, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a self-driven and independent work ethic.
