- Oversees the complete service of food & beverage for banquet events
- Reports feedback from guests to the Banquet Operations Manager
- Informs the staff of the menus of each function as well as specific setup required and ensures that they performed as instructed
- Coordinates all the details for each function as advised by the Banquet Operations Manager
- Controls the setup and clearance of all banquet rooms
- Supervises the tidiness and cleanliness of the banquet storerooms and all the function rooms
- Holds regular meetings with the Banquet staff to discuss various aspects of service quality and complaints received from guests.
- Checks weekly function forecasts and arranges for the required staff strength and equipment
- Develops training programmes for the Banquet staff and casual staff.
- Assists in the recruitment for casual labor. Ensures proper grooming of the casual staff as per the standard
- Holds regular feedback sessions with staff
- Compiles the logbook for the Banquet Operations Manager’s information and follows up on actions to be taken
- Plans and compiles Chinese menu
- Recommends different styles of set ups
- Minimizes wastage and maximize productivity
Requirements
- At least 2 years experience in a hotel banquet setting
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good time management skills
