Our client is one of the leading distributors in the High Performance Metal industry in Singapore. As part of BU expansion, their newly established Aerospace department is looking for a Business Development Manager to spearhead the business growth
Job Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy Formulation: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aimed at achieving revenue and market share objectives in the aerospace sector. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to uncover new sales prospects.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with current aerospace clients and key stakeholders. Identify and engage with potential clients and partners to broaden the customer base.
- Proposal Crafting: Create and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to clients, showcasing the company's aerospace capabilities and solutions. Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Negotiation and Contract Oversight: Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts, pricing agreements, and other terms. Ensure contracts adhere to company policies and legal requirements.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in the aerospace sector. Analyze market data to identify new product/service opportunities and potential risks.
- Budget Supervision: Develop and manage the budget for assigned sales territories/accounts, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Provide reports on budget utilization and sales performance to senior management.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and progress towards goals. Generate regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all sales activities conform to industry standards, legal regulations, and company policies. Implement quality assurance measures to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; Diploma holders may be considered.
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales and business development experience within the aerospace industry.
- Thorough knowledge of aerospace products, technologies, and market dynamics.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Leadership experience with the ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
- Proficiency in sales and CRM software.
- Analytical skills to assess market trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
- Understanding of relevant aerospace regulations and compliance requirements.
