JOB TASKS AND SPECIFICATION
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- responding to technical support calls from end users int a timely manner to service issues and requests.
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone).
- Create and Modify user accounts in Windows Active Directory & Office 365.
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
- Testing new technologyPossibly training more junior staff members
- Setting up and installing new computers, networks and software.
- Installing updates, known as patches, firmware, to hardware and software applications.
- Installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications such as Microsoft Office.
- Diagnosing and fixing network problems and hardware or software faults.
- Maintaining inventories of hardware and software.
- Keeping a record of issues and faults along with solutions, for future reference.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Diploma /ITE or any Tertiary education related to IT.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a heavy customer focus position involving and technical knowledge of a companies' products and services Knowledge on Data / Voice Networking is advantageous.
- Comfortable working and assisting others through company help desk software, such as service desk in addition to other remote access desktop programs.
- Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows and Linux.
- Time-management skills and the ability to establish reasonable and attainable deadlines for resolution.
- Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
- Professional written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients.
- Experience in installing and configuring computer systems and applications for a large company.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and customer feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services.
- Possess effective communication skills.
Remuneration shall commensurate with relevant work experience.
