Roles & Responsibilities
The trainee will provide leadership to the sales team; motivates and encourages them to ensure quotas are met. Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Provides leadership to the sales team.
2. Motivates and encourages sales team to ensure quotas are met.
3. Reviews and analyzes sales and operational records and reports; uses data to project sales, determine profitability and targets, and identify potential new markets.
4. Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
5. Assigns territories and sets quotas for sales teams.
6. Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests products, or services that will meet those needs.
7. Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
8. Collaborates with executive leadership to develop sales quotas and strategies.
9. Prepares sales budget; monitors and approves expenses.
10. Acts as company representative at trade association meetings.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
